Sitcom showdown

well, what makes a sitcom different from a regular comedy show is the time. A sitcom is between 15 - 20 mins n they r all very funny. Its kinda like sunset beach: u could miss the show for hlaf a year but that doesnt matter if it would be sunset beach u still know whats going on n its still no fun cuz there nagging the same conversation they were last time u saw it. With a sitcom its still funny almost as good amuzing time killing as DC

Actually visaru, I think both shows are pretty good, but Friends is more kinda age group so I identify with it a lot more, but tell me,,,does the Simpsons qualify as a sitcom cos if it does, I think we all know the answer to whats best

Sure, Simpssons, futurama, family guy. Thats also sitcoms, altough I acctually think futurama is better then Simpsons. Although Homer is the funniest cartoon char ever hes the only one thats constantly funny in Simpsons while futurama has alot of funny chars i think.

Yea family guy is also really funny , but once again there r to many characters thats not funny n fill no further purpuse. Like his kids. There only there cuz a family guy needs kids but they r only funny about once every 5 show. N I forgot about the American dad cartoon sitcom. Thats also really funny.

I don't know, I think that Stewy is funny in every show. Between Stewy, Peter, and Brian they have three characters that are consistantly funny in every show... Since I only really find Fry, Bender, and the lobster guy funny in futurama I think that they are about the same on that account. But I certainly favor the random plot twists in Family guy and also think that they have the best one-show-characters.

Of those three, I'd say that I'd place them in the order: Simpsons, Family guy, Futurama
Simpsons in front for popularizing that type of humor.

hmmm, which sitcom would u labell the worst ever then??? I think Id pick the one with the three brothers (or whatever they r)that lives in a house. One is an elvis freak ones a comedian n one is a bore. One of ems named Joey I think.. I dont remember the name of the show.

I probably haven't seen enough to say, but one of my least favorites is MASH. I can see how someone could like it, though, it's just not my cup of tea.

I don't think I've seen the one with the 3 brothers.

The show with the worst theme song is by far Seinfeld. Thats all like, hey guys I just got a base, lets plsy random notes n have someone bang a bell while I do it. Yea dude thats awsome

the show you were talking about sounds like "full house" and that is an american classic! family guy rocks my socks off. I love stewy! "excrement you evil woman come change my diaper!"

hull house! thats it , the reason I dont like it is becouse its inhumanly cute all the time... still, it has its moments, just not my cup of tea as they say.

Now that I think of it Will % Grace has become really funny.. mostly becouse of Jack, hes the most entertaining stereo-happy on Tv. The later episodes though. The early ones wasnt that good.

I love Will and Grace. It's one of my favorite current TV shows. Actually, I guess it's not current anymore. It just ended about a week or two ago. The finale was a little odd though.

I was just introduced to a show that was MARVELOUS! Called "firefly". I'm not sure it would be a sitcom, but it really did have lots and lots of funny bits...

I didn't even know Will and Grace had finished. Worst sitcoms, for some reason, when us in the UK or you over in USA try to copy a show it just turns out so wrong, your version of The Office was terrible, but so was our version of married with children, there are a lot of sitcoms run for one season and are ditched cos they are so bad

See, now we really need to find a way to turn this conversation to something I can participate in, because a lot of it sounds very interesting but I haven't the faintest notion what y'all are refering to most of the time.

Hermi! Potter and I just watched Firefly for the first time this weekend too! I lliked it a lot. We watched the first 10 episodes and the 80 minute pilot. That same day we also watched the first 8 episodes of Avatar. I think it's the best kid's show on TV right now.
