Sylvia noticed the flickering of Michealys aura and casually put her hand on the boys shoulder while they were walking....she didn't like what she sensed. Years of experience told her that Michealys had a natural talent for divination....even if he didn't know how to use/interpret his talent as yet.
" Okay, people, I believe we need to get to the Library very, very quickly. Sky, you fly point; Laura and Michealys, take my hands"
Sky quickly took off ahead of them and suddenly the stone floor of the corridor was covered in a sheet of ice. The wind gave a great gust behind them and they were quickly sliding over the frozen floor.

Laura had taken Professor Sylvia's hand immediately, but when the hall turned to ice she pulled free, thinking it was once again her own power escaping her.
'I'm sorry!' She cried, blushing, and concentrated. This much she had learned... but wait. The ice wasn't responding as it normally did! Instead of cancelling one of her powers with the other, the fire she called simply melted the area she stood on, until she sank the scant inch and stood in a puddle of water that was gradually firming again!
She tried to dash forward, and fell, sliding down the hallway at a great clip, bowling over the others until they all came to a halt in a sopping heap.

Michaelys, finding himself off to the side of the pile, notices that he has maintained a close proximity to Laura. Reaching over and taking her hand, he feels a tingling in his palm. Glancing down at her hand in his, he senses more than sees a faint aura when their hands are clasped together.
Abrubtly, he glances up and catches Lauras' eye. Giving her a shy smile, he firmly stands up, and assists the others in getting to their feet. When he releases Lauras' hand, he gets a momentary feeling of disorientation. Then he offers his hand to Professor Sylvia.
'May I assist you, madam? I apologize, I was not paying attention. When Laura slipped I believe that I also lost my feet.'

A small puppy runs from the doors of the libray. It is completly black with white spost around its eyes and its paws and belly are white.
It wags its tail and barks in excitment. It runs only a few feet until he slips and slides against the ice. It contiunes to slide until it bumps right into Laura's feet. It looks up at her and wags it tail some more.

Laura smiled her thanks to Michaelys for the hand, and then turned to the others. she was going to offer apologies again, but before she could say anything an absolutely adorable puppy came running up, and she was completely distracted!
'Oh, what a sweetie!'
She plops right back down onto the ice again to pet it, still without the least notion that there might be more danger nearby than a student's run-away magic.

Vyn flies around the bunch and watches them fall head over heels, "HAHHAHAH that was great." He looks for decent place to stand and lands, almost immediately falling on the ice. "Oops my bad," he sees the puppy run up to Laura and then he tries to walk over to the lot to see whats up. "So whats the plan now? Obviously the whole ice idea isnt going to work." He than feels a sense of complete and utter dread, making his whole body shake. "Oh no something is gonna happen guys, i can feel it, we need to get to safety." He tried flying but his wnings would not let him. Something bad was coming, and that was disrupting his aura. His wings shrank and disappeared onto his back. No one seemed to pay attention to him, just to that little puppy.

Michaelys realized that everyone was flustered and distracted by the puppy. He glanced at Sky when he mentioned something bad, then he once again felt that shadowy presence.
Stepping back in alarm, he turned to say something to the professor, but when he glanced at her, he noticed that everyone appeared frozen. Looking around in panic, he realized that the melting ice was also frozen, some drops appearing to hang suspended in the air.
Suddenly, he felt something icy cold, and at the same time blisteringly hot, nearby. His vision spun and he felt rather than heard himself screaming. His concentration snapped and he tumbled down a flight to land in an unconcious heap at the landing.

"Domino...Domino" The word echoed all over the corridor.
After hearing that name, the puppy's tail started wagging out of control. It then started to bark excitedly. It tried to get up, but it quickly fell back on its stomach.
"Come here Domino"
Just then a young man turned the corner. He was slowly walking as if he was looking for something. He then saw something that made his skin crawl. He saw a boy laying on the ground.
He thought the boy was dead, so he ran to the boy and started to check his pulse. He found out that the boy was unconcious. He easily picked the boy up and put him on his shoulder.
He contiued his walk up the stairs still looking for something with the boy on his shoulder

Sky looked around and noticed that Mike appeared to disapear into thin air, although anything was possible he knew that Mike wasnt intact with his powers enough to do that by free will. He tried informing the other's of his disapearance but they were entranced by the dog. Sky started to walk down the hall but little did he realize he was walking in the opposite direction of his friend. After a few flights of stairs and even more long hallways he gave up the search and began a long tedious journey. The journey to his dorm in the highest tower...

The shadowy robed figure of Ky'Jin swept noiselessly into the stairwell.
"Professor Sylvia," s/he says, bowing low.
"Welcome young minds, to the library. Rare is it that students find such difficulty in arriving, but I am glad to see that you have made it. Please, if you have any troubles in the library, just ask me."

Michaelys' slowly became aware of his surroundings. Feeling like he had just run a marathon, he lifted his head up and achingly opened his eyes. His senses reeling he had to close them to make the spinning stop. When he felt a little better, he re-opened his eyes. Seeing bookshelves around him, he ascertained that somehow they had arrived in the Library.
Michaelys tried to make sense of things. The last thing he remembered was a disorienting sensation of heat and cold and then ....nothing. Glancing around, he looked for Laura.

Laura was vaguely aware of Sky coming back, and saying something she knew was important, if she could only figure out what it was. The puppy seemed to have disappeared, along with the ice, but another young man -a student?- had arrived, carrying Michaelys -wasn't Michaelys right there? Did he have a twin?- and a shadowy figure, somehow familiar, had appeared in the doorway there were headed towards. Beyond that, she was lost.
Slowly she stood up, wavering a little, and looked around. Michaelys was back on his feet, next to the new young man. Sky was looking nervously out a nearby window. Professor Sylvia was just finishing drying the stairwell with magic, and the intimidating Ky'Jin's robes could be seen disappearing back into the depths of the library.
She cleared her throat and gave a nervous giggle.
'Well. That was certainly... exciting...'
Her voice trailed off unhappily.
'Um... what happened?'

Glancing around, Michaelys realized that everyone was look at the Professor for answers. He felt like trying to explain, but realized he had no idea what had happened. Trying to piece together why that was made his head spin, and he reached out to the young man next to him, who was petting the puppy, for balance. Getting a shy smile back, he felt encouragement entering himself. Smiling himself he glanced shyly at Laura, hoping she didnt see his blush as he looked her way.

Sky immediately turned back, when he was only a fifth of the way to his dorm and decided he would rather walk with friends.
"Hey guys, what do you say we ditch this idea of going to the Library and head out to the grounds to play some blitzball?"

Seeing his new friend come back, Michaelys thought over his suggestion. 'If it is something fun, Im sure we would like to go.' glancing at Laura he said, 'but is there an easier way to get there from here?'

Baurus leads the group down a passage way and stops at a painting of a countryside and slides up the corner of it. He then pushes in a stone block and a slab of stone swings inward opening out to a clear summer day at the courtyard."There you are."He tells them,"and if you ever need me be sure to ask".He then walks back into the secret passage and disappears from sight.

Brigid looked up from her work as people suddenly came into the courtyard. More people she didn't know (which was nearly everyone except the professors her parents had introduced to her) filed out from the secret passage. She sighed, and closing the old, handstitched book in her lap, began to rise and gather her things. People she didn't know made her self-conscious, and that made her hand shaky, which would affect the work in her book. She glanced up the side of the building, wondering if there was a way to get out onto a rooftop.. surely nobody would interrupt her there.
