My dog was looking quite unclean Her fur was brown and scruffy Once through the old washing machine And now she's white and fluffy

Hermione, you honor me sorely So, as not to repay the deed poorly I shall cease to be terse By now conjuring verse That might warrant the mantle before me
***
The sunset paints with purple hues On cloudy strands of evening mist As waters fade to deeper blues Then softly, as if silence kissed Nocturnal symphony ensues Beneath a sky of amethyst

I canna help but be nonplussed Praetheus has sur-prised us His words o' prose are prettily seeming And yet although they're not demeaning I find that I can naught but praise This gentle man, whose words and phrase Have inspired us all to come and post And Dance and sing an' raise a Toast Fer all the family draws near To glimpse a larger bit o' cheer.

I'm sorry to bring sadness to our clan full of gladness But I must speak of one's whos' touch Has lifted up the rest of us. His passing on, will long be felt and grief will often be indwelt By those of use who knew him well And miss him much , although his health Was wearing him, unto his death Lou Gherig's disease, took his breath
We miss him now, although we know He's danicing up in heaven's glow His back is straight, his feet are good He's celebrating with our Lord We all shall see him, once again When heaven bound we all ascend The tears of joy will flow like rain And wipe away all the pain As we rejoice and dance and sing And heaven resounds with everything!

It seems a hard thing to post after Such a somber and serious rhyme Too few are the chances for laughter Or perhaps it just isn't the time
But once the dark mantle of sorrow Is at last removed and put away May we find that the dawning tomorrow Holds more silly and fun things to say

Procrastination is really not an idea that's very hot It puts you behind in a big way and to get caught up takes more than a day!

I lay around and contemplate The story of my navel lint, I'vd found that as it hibernates, I can't create a statement.

*snickers* Now, that's an image quite unique with a message quite oblique. The only thing that becomes clear is the amusement and the cheer

Whoever can come up with the best follow-up line, I'll exalt you for a week. Here's the beginning:
If sixty swans sang seven songs to sooth the setting sun...
(Extra points for those who keep tempo.)

The Sun should sweep the Swans sweet songs across the weary, dreary
