Wow, you guys kind of tore through those.... 1. A drunk (aka boozer). And props to Wahoo for catching the Jenny reference; I'd hoped that Dram, a measurement that is British in origin, would help with that but still thought it might be too obscure. 2. It's pretty clear that Wahoo has the answer, considering that he left a hint in his post, so unless someone else figures it out I think that Wahoo owes us another riddle 3. Fungus (mushroom is accepted). And while they do need moisture, they often live without rain... think caves.

Well, Irish, What with Wahoo being Throttled and all....it might take him a moment ;D Gotta tell you, Irish, I roared when I read that post. Our every amicable Leader suddenly snapping and throttling a Penguin. LOL Whelp, Were it not for the Dram reference I would not have figured it out.....British Slang? Where's Frizzer!!!! If it takes 40 men 40 days to cut up 40 logs, How long does it take a grasshopper with a wooden leg to kick all the seeds out of a dill pickle?

<gasp, cough, wheeze> I'm..<hack, hack>...sorry for antagonizing you, Irishman. NOT! ;D
I did notice that Whelp never posted the answer to that vexing perplexer.
Here's my next one:
We are very little creatures; all of us have different features. One of us in glass is set; one of us you'll find in jet. Another you may see in tin, and a fourth is boxed within. If the fifth you should pursue, it can never fly from you.
What are we?

Could it be: no one knows because grasshoppers don't have wooden legs?! lol I'm stumped. Oh, and Torra, I'm officially removing your 'newb' status; you answered both of the other riddles before anyone else, thereby showing your competence.

How many YEARS has this been going on? LOL However, Whelp has solved the riddle....Remember people, don't get lost in the rhetoric ;D

WHAT?!?! What do you mean I solved it?!
Is it "I'm stumped" or "...don't have wooden legs" or "lol"? None of those make sense anyway!
*stomps off in a huff*
---------Oh, and 'newb' status was because Irish posted that his riddle was for newbs.... and you answered.

Post by Torra on Apr 4, 2009 11:51:19 GMT -5
Hmmmm, I would have thought that my post about "don't get lost in the rhetoric" would have cleared that up, but: Yes, the answer is zero; grasshoppers don't have wooden legs, therefor, there can't be a grasshopper with a wooden leg, and a non-existant grasshopper ain't kicking nothing out of a dill pickle. Man, you hardly ever see someone so miffed about being correct NOW, Whelp owes a riddle Hee Hee! Okay, since my last riddle was so poorly received I've got one for you left brainers out there: What letters should come next in the series? MY VS EH MS JR SN US NE _ _ ;D

Well, there's being correct because you earned it, then there's being correct because the answer just happened to be in what you said. In any case:
Black my blood and soft my sides, Tall I am but not too wide. Above all I used to fly; Now I bleed until I am dry, Yearning for a drink from a wet well. Had I but known before I fell!
On Torra's riddle, is it TH?

Um.... I just wrote this as a modern version of the same riddle; answer one and you will have them both. Just don't try to combine them... you would just confuse yourself.
The world before me is white as snow; Untouched, unmarred, wherever I go. My heart is black, the trail I leave bold; Oft I'm used, for power my path does hold. A force for peace, war, love or hate; What you can think of, I can create.
