It came to my attention that I deleted New Dawn's visiting post not too long after it was posted. It totally wasn't my intention but we spilled onto a second page and it was the last thing to be commented on. Anyways you'll really should go visit New Dawn. It is one of my favorite clan hang outs even if I don't comment too often. They've got great people who occationally come visit us so go visit them! www.newdawnfamily.org

Lol, doesn't matter.
Hey, Qarnak, have you checked out what's been happening in our own version of your non-lethal warfare? Hee hee, it's over in the Shrieking Shack.

Yuppers, I looked. Unfortunetly I am very busy atm. I am working on New Dawn's own Ultima Online shard, and also working on a website rework, some new games and such, and lots more content. When things slow down I promise to join in the fun. Peace, Bob

As long as I've got you where the question would be at least semi-appropriate... what's a shard?

An Ultima Online "Shard" is a server for the game. You can host your own shard, therefore allowing people to play for free, or for whatever you decide to charge. We are making one for ND members only. What we want is a place for our members to exist in a sort of virtual world. In Ultima Online, you can build houses, kill monsters, interact with NPCs, craft, and all kinds of other stuff. Heck, you can even buy a boat and sail. It is complex, and may take a while. In the meantime we have decided to host crossfire, which is a wonderfull little open source game. It is mmorpg, which means hundreds of people can play at once and interact with each other. There are dozens of races and professions. The graphics are a weak point, but it is playable on any Operating System, which appeals to us because a lot of New Dawners use Linux or BSD. We even have a couple of Mac users. Peace, Bob PS. You can learn about Crossfire here: crossfire.real-time.com/

I'm still a little lost, but at least I have a map, however indecipherable, to study now. (Irishman, 9 isn't prime!)

Well, if you used to play Ultima, and enjoyed it, there are many ways to play for free. All you need is the Ultima Online software, which you can get for free. Just do a google search for Ultima Online Free Trial. The download is 607 megs, I think. Once you have the software, you just need to run it so it patches to the latest version. Using a free tool, like UO Gateway, lets you browse the HUNDREDS of free shards. I recommend Champions of Virtue, because Gypsy Keja Mimi, a friend of mine from FK, is staff there. All you need to do is make an account and play. It is all free. Peace, Bob

SForce, you appear and disappear so regularly I think we ought to come up with a nickname for you that reflects that!
