How ironic, the last book on Harry's b-day...
I've been after this person's death sence I heard someone dies in the 4th book, out of sheer stubborness I shall keep that view. Oh I might add its all about one quote. Hagrid, and this is the quote "I trust Hagrid with my life."

Ginny is my favorite character. I think we've already discussed that she's a complete hottie in my head.

I think he was talking about how Dumbledore isn't really dead, and the quote implies Hagrid had something to do with saving him. Right? Well, lol, it's an idea.

Well yea its an idea and so does mine Sence I heard that quote I always thought that he will be more then willing to sacrifice his life to protect, in this case Dumbledore. I have no doubt in my mind that Dumbledore is dead, but Hagrid's will to sacrifice is not, that is shown nurmious times, for example he took what 5 stupify spells? They all bounced back, which I did luagh at . Theres one thing that Harry has and He-who-must-not-be-named does not have, well a few very well connected things. Of course that is love. Not only does he love his friends, but they love him back. Heres a good quote that relates to this. "It is remarkable how similar the pattern of love is to the pattern of insanity" Andy & Larry Wachowski That helps show that they(the friends) will go to extreme lenghs to do, to help Harry. Another great example of this is when they all go, and want to go to the department of mysteries. So Yes I think that quote has everything to do with it, but you can't take it for face vaule(at least now). Yes I think Hagrid will die(I actully like him, I swear I do), but he will do it for the love and his will to sacrifice for what is needed to do. I also think I know this much, that Harry's friends will have to sacirfice to do what is needed to do, to distory he-who-must-not-be-named, that will require their deaths. The main friend I know that is more then willing to do it, is this, Hagrid. I can go on if you want

Hagrid could possibly die, im not debating that fact, however that quote is far from proof.
Personally I think that Hagrid dying would just overplay the "protectors dying to save Harry Potter" thing that has been a theme of the books in general. First his parents, then Sirius, then Dumbledore. It's time to be a man and stand up for himself. While Hagrid might die in battle, I doubt it will be protecting Harry, but instead standing on his own.
Hagrid is one of my favorite characters, and I would hate to see him die, but if he must, he must. Personally as long as Ginny/Harry/Hermione dont die, I dont really care who bites the bullet. I half hope Snape doesnt die as well, but I think that may be asking for too much.

Why? I wouldn't be the least surprised if it was McGonagall instead of Snape that kicked the bucket. And I would laugh SO HARD if Snape ended up Headmaster. Say, who took over as the Gryffindor head?

well i think a good draco death scene might be nice...but i bet malfoy's dad goes. and there is some ridiclious scene where potter/malfoy team up against evil because voldemort has killed him and they bond becaue voldmort killed potters parents as well.

Well, it would be if he came back from that one, too, only didn't tell anybody and instead retired to live undercover doing research somewhere random. That would be neat.

i can't imagine the pressure the author is under to make this book magnificant.

Lol, what pressure? She writes them as she wants to, and then if we as readers don't like it we're free not to buy the book! Lol, if only it worked that way...

Nah -because if they push her too hard, she's likely to try and find a better publisher. I'm sure there are lots of companies that would love to have her account! Unless she's signed a contract with them for all the Harry Potter books, instead of book-by-book. Hmm.

She has signed a contract with LOTS of publishers, and while she has an editor, she also has COMPLETE creative control. All her editor can do is say "i THINK that chapter is too long. It would work better if you cut this, or that."
