Serasia <our glorious Lady-Leader> Has been kept up-to-date on th DC world <as much as is possible>, and looks forward to an alliance with your clan, should you desire to venture into our world. You can find KoL here: www.kingdomofloathing.comWe are here: p081.ezboard.com/btheplayground Come visit us, even if to chat! We just set our site up, and would love to have some visitors! Even if you don't want to set your clan up in our world... come have a look. This game's designer's have way too much free time... You'll understand after playing a few days. Hope to see you there! Wow KoL. The last time I heard that was more than six years ago lol. Anyway...I'm glad the clan page is back up. I was worried that nothing could be done about it. How did it get fixed anyway? Also, Vyn, when were you planning on accepting my petition to join the clan? Or have you already? I'll send another just in case.

i did accept it, but maybe there was a glitch, i remember when i tried to get into gryffindor the process was delayed somewhat, and when i sent it again, i received two. ill check to see if your second one came in right now.

actually, how about I send it right now.
I also have some ingame questions for anyone who's open to them. What do turnips do. What are the effects of a glow scroll. How do I guess right on the stupid wheel of fate. Why do I always get bruises from rocks even when I sleep in a suit. What is a good level to go to the Fenris Mountains. Where does the boat go for 50K, I hope somewhere good.

glow scrolls make your weapons glow, but they arent normally used since there are some monsters that eat weapons that glow. turnips heal you. the wheel of fate is completely random =p. its just from where you sleep, if you sleep in a room or suite then you wont have a problem with rocks. The mountains is a toss up, it doesnt just matter your level, but your guts and gear too, you should probably wait about four or five levels after the required level to go up there, and dont forget to buy ropes before you do. The boat goes to Shangala, Hie Brasil and Azteca, but you need certain rutters to make those places available. =]
hope that helps =]

Glowing gives your weapons a skill bonus, and means you don't need to carry torches in the Goblin Mounds. But Worms and Anacondas and Sea Serpents will rip off and swallow any glowing or flaming equipment you are wearing. If you kill them you get it back (but it will either be rusted once or if you'd had oil on it, one of the oils will be removed), but if it runs away or you die, it is lost for good. You sometimes have trouble with rocks period, even in a suite, it is simply less LIKELY. Mountains- I will send you lots of fairies. Don't go into the Abandoned Mine until Evil Fred in the Goblin Dungeons is EASY, okay? Boat also goes to the Docks, where if you kill enough you can GET a rutter to Hie Brasil. Best equipment comes from that area but mosters are also a little tricksier. I'll send you some Marks with the fairies, so you can just keep experimenting.

Blindness is unfortunate; you can't use any items in combat to get rid of it -but it will stay until you do, so when that battle is over, cure it immediately with either a seltzer water or a golden apple. Panic is cured by seltzer water or a golden apple, also, but you can cure that one right away! Have you quested in the Goblin Mounds at all? From the field? You'll need to bring torches, or have either a glowing or flaming item on. Goats eat rope, yes. You can equip an item with 'Hillfolk' on it; that will eliminate the need for rope. Or just buy a WHOLE lot and bring it; it stacks, so it's not too bad. If you have a bottled fairy WITH you when you die, you will not lose any quests, just fame.
Really, do try the Goblin Mounds. I think you'll find them about right for your level. Start in the warrens, if that's too simple go to the Treasury. If you quest enough in the Treasury you will be given a map to the Throne Room. That's the next area up, and then from there you will get a map to the Vortex; which is simply the domicile of Evil Fred. But check out the first three first.

you might want to wait with the vortex and Evil Fred until you are pretty high level.
Here's the order I use. I don't move on until my char seems real good at an area (I HATE having my chars die!) or until I get bored.
Fields Forest Goblin Warrens (1st area in the Goblin Mounds) Dungeons (in the Castle) Treasury (2nd area in the Goblin Mounds) Mountains (thru the forest -- NOT including abandoned mines where dragon sleeps) Throne room (3rd area in Goblin Mounds -- not much here, but....) Fishing in the Ocean (1st area thru docks) Hie Brasil (2nd area thru docks - need a rutter to find it) Shangala (3rd area thru docks - need different rutter) Evil Fred (found in vortex in Goblin mounds -- need map to vortex to find it) dragon (abandoned mines in mountains) Azteca (4th area thru docks -- still another map/rutter)
This is just my list --- probably other people would order these differently. (comments anyone?)

I would do throne room before mountains, and azteca before dragon. But otherwise, sounds about right to me.

who's evil fred, how do I cure panic and blindness, I lose a rediculus amount of quests when I die, goats ate my rope. Garnets are also handy to have . you need mage skills to use em but they work on anything and u can get them commonly in the forest and the mountains. also kill the goats and they usually give you more ropes than they eat unless their feeling extra fat that day
