I've been on hiatus from DC for a while. I'm interested in knowing how often other players encounter monsters that DO use a skill during battle (berserk, hypnosis, swindle, etc.) out of the number of monsters they encounter that CAN use a skill.
This is out of pure curiosity, as I happen to have a character that used to and now continues to actively quest in Shangala, and since the new update, Azteca. These should be areas where the majority of monsters have a skill that they can and generally will use in battle. However, since the latest update, there hasn't been a single monster that has *ever* done this. It is not likely that this can be attributed to simply having a lucky break. Playing for weeks straight had the same results: low aggression, almost downright apathy from monsters. Many of my battles last two rounds or more, which affords sufficient time for monsters like the shogun and now the Azteca warrior, so I've heard, to berserk in the second round. Furthermore, no pandas or priests have ever attempted to mez me, and now the ninja never tries to swindle. This character does not have any sage skills that were included in the update, and is just a regular, run of the mill character. I've been thinking about possible explanations for this phenomenon but nothing really comes to mind. There were days where I could get mezzed up to 5 times by pandas and ninjas in shangala and consider myself let off easy. Now I just kill everyone of those excrement bears without fear of repercussions. Even though revenge is sweet and my questing is now insanely easy, there is absolutely no thrill left from guessing whether I've been killed by Ieatsu in the split second after I've mustered up the courage to fight that Samurai.
The character's stats are as follows
age: 121
lvl: 30
g: 303 w: 125 c: 124
rank: viscount
guild skills:
f: 4 m:10 t: 2 i:1
attk: 256
def: 325
skill: 1314
agile, quick, strong, trader and no other attributes.
please let me know if I'm leaving out factors, I would love to know... I'm just getting paranoid that's all.
