or evenin', as the case may be... i used to play dcourt all the time and then went on hiatus for a couple years, now i'm back to have some more fun. i found this clan and as soon as i'm able, will petition to join. you all seem so fun, and the harry potter connection makes it all the better. in the meantime, thought i'd introduce myself.. - brigid

Now, now, Woo, no scaring away the recent returnees! Wahoo and Torra are still dealing with RL issues keeping them busy away from DC. Hopefully they'll check in again and give us an update but it doesn't sound as though they'll be free to come back much any time soon. Nice to meet you, Brigid. I hope you're not finding any of the changes to DC confusing -did anyone warn you about the 'rust' issue?

what's the rust issue? so far i haven't found anything difficult to deal with, but then again, i've started from scratch so i'm not all that far into the game yet.

Rust is the gradual degeneration of all your items and gear over time. It can be halted entirely with a purchase of the Queen's Blessing, and your armor and weapons can ALSO (as in, this is an alternative, not an additional requirement) be protected by the application of fish or snake oil. If you need anything like marks or oils, let us know.

ooh, brilliance. rust was a pain before, i remember, but i don't remember dealing with it for everything. does the queen's blessing apply solely to whatever you have at that moment, or does it extend to whatever you may have in the future as well? thanks for the offer. i think i'll be ok for now, as both my characters are still really low level, too low to even get into the castle to petition to join!

hmm thats a good question, i really am not sure i know that it includes everything in your pack at the moment for sure, but i dont know if it affects what you get afterwards. maybe you should just ply it safe and get the queen's blessing everytime right before you log out.

I know the answer to this one *raises her hand and jumps up and down* The Queens Blessing only protects what is in your pack until your next log in. If you get the blessing and then quest and find items before you log out you are fine. Hope this helps

catching a furtive movement on the side of her vision, brigid's curiosity is aroused.. what could he ever be up to? chewing a bit on the tips of her hair, she starts to wander in the direction of the shadowy corridor.

Wait! Don't go down there! We still haven't cleaned out all the booby-traps Fred and George left in the secret tunnels...
Whoops, don't think they were supposed to be mentioned...
Ah... Forget I said anything.

No, no hermione, no need to worry about the traps anymore...remember, the GBBCoD ate them all, when I wouldn't give it a sardine cookie.
Er...
Just pretend I never said anything brigid... *tiptoes away from the tunnel*

Cynder runs in panting.
"Hi! Welcome to Gryffindor.... where'd they all go?" she scratches her head and peers down each corridor.
"Humph. Well... bound to bump into the bunch around here somewhere." She shrugs, selects a corridor at random and cautiously slips down it, keeping to the shadows.
