Sorry to stick my neb in, but is Kudzu climb-able? You might consider that. Also, what about plants whose roots are traditionally very penetrating? There are plants that can crack rock. If you get stuck somewhere, you could maybe use something like that to help tunnel your way out.

Kudzu is another liana & like the Mucuna is a very fast grower --- up to 60 ft at the rate of 1 foot/day. It is good for basket weaving, erosion control & good forage for animals. (but way out of control in our country).
The pictures I saw suggest that the vines do not get as thick as the kiwi, but if well anchored and old enough, should be climable (but probably not by a person carrying a full pack!)

kiwis take the same time so yeah lets go with that and if you would let me i have 2 oz packages of all my healing herbs. Uhhhhh i might need some different kinds so lets say i have 8 packages of different things. Thats only a pound so pretty light. i don't have 8 plants ready but i can find some in my spare time. the poison is in my dagger so that i dont lose it in battle and mix it. Also if i can hide my dagger i have them. sound good to you?

Sorry guys... no internet access for a couple days! Frizzer --- I modified your last post 'cause Frizelious had already successfully taken the seed off Blacksky & thrown it to the ground (I just hadn't gotten on to post & tell you that, sorry!!!) BlackSky --- it all sounds good.... but I'm not sure what you mean by: Also if i can hide my dagger i have them. so.... I am going to assume you have 8 2oz pkts of herbs & a vial of poison (with 10 uses) hidden in a secret compartment of your dagger hilt. Is that right?

usually daggers are in a sheath that is hung from a belt where they can be easily drawn and used. Are you saying your dagger is somewhere else? Or just that you might try to hide it on yourself if captured?
Either way.... I did give you a secret compartment, so it is extremely unlikely that someone handling your dagger could find the poison vial -- they would have to have some specialized skill or knowledge.

I'm running stuff a bit like a D&D session. Each time I post --- a round begins. When I post again, that finishes that round and starts the next one. Usually a round means the play 'goes around' --- each person gets a chance to do something. In the interest of keeping things interesting, I sometimes post early so folks don't always get a chance to do stuff....
In D&D: One round is considered 6 seconds. During that time you can:
take 2 actions and say a short phrase or.... 1 action and talk a bit or.... take the time to do 1 action really well or.... move 30 feet + 1 attack or.... stand still and make 2 attacks.
In 6 seconds you can walk 20 feet, run 40 feet.
if you are confused or disoriented or caught unaware, it will take you 2-4x longer to do something
*** is that what you had in mind, Battler?
Oh, and, reminder: you control your own character's actions & conversation. I'll do results of actions & the actions/stuff of the 'critters/NPCs/environment' (NPC = non-player character)

Wow. I think I might want to try this RPG thingy, but I have no idea where to start! I don't know what I would like to be...most likely some absentminded scholar with maybe a few tricks up his sleeve. But yeah if anyone could help me out here with some tips that'd be great cause I'd love to try something new! Thanks!

absent-minded scholar would be fine -- is that what you'd like?
magic is by far the hardest thing to work in this world (read this thread & the info thread) fighters & other professions are much easier.
Since I do not run 'hack & slash' campaigns, professions have just as much fun as fighters & mages. (there are some monsters, but there's also lots of other stuff that doesn't involve fighting -- read the first obstacle the adventurers had to deal with)
once I have the name of your character & a general idea of who it is... I will enter you into the game.
this is a real good time to enter you in the game!
