mmm not really a riddle, but I like it anyway,,and no googling..Why is the number 13 classed as unlucky?

because the standard for place settings is twelve, thus it was unlucky for the HOST to have a party with 13 total since it looked really bad to have the mismatched setting.

either 16 days or 17 days depending on whether you say the snail has to go more than 20 ft to climb out (17days ) because 20ft (16days) only reaches the top & doesn't go over the edge
