i think its on DC.....
what walks in the morning on 4 feet, walks in the afternoon on 2 feet, and walks at night on three feet?
the answer is man, because we walk on 4 feet as babies, 2 feet as children-middle age, and walk with a cane when we get old.

WHY IS FRIDAY 13TH LUCKY?
because on friday the 13th, some long time ago, the king of france ordered the arrest and execution of all members of the knights of Templar...
no kidding...
and here is another (long) but good riddle...
a king was on his death bed, and decided to manufacture a trial of wits to decide which son was the wisest choice to leave his kingdom to. He had all his crafters and builders and what not to build a square room, with one window on each side, then they were to craft flowers that were so realistic that no human sense could tell them apart from a real flower. he then had the room filled with these feaux flowers, and had them place ONE real flower in the room. the task for the young princes was to find the real flower and bring it back to him.
the eldest went into the room first, and quickly chose a rose, this must be the real flower for it is the most beautiful of them all, but he was wrong
the middle one went in and chose the jonquil, this must be the one, for it is the most humble but proud of them all... but he was also wrong.
the youngest went into the room, and after long hours of study, he asked the guard to open a window for it was hot, and he had not made his decision. one hour later, he had chosen the correct one...
(whew thats alot of typing!!!)
how did the son know what flower was the real one?

Yes, it's 16 days to reach the top and get out, why wait around to slide back down at night? Have an exhalt and a MENSA CARD ;D

I am your greatest friend, or your worst enemy. If you treat me right and train me right, I will lead you to light and success. If you don't, I will disrupt your life and can lead you to your downfall, ultimately, death. You live with me. You ARE me. Without me, you are not human. Nothing can get in the way of me. Not a knife, nor a gun. If you want to get rid of me, kill yourself. I will walk with you up to your highest height, and fall with you to your bottomless pit.
what am I?
sorry.... I just thought of this on hand, so the wording should be pretty bad....

Found a riddle...and since I'm behind on contributing:
There are 3 closed carboard boxes of fruit labled Apples Oranges Apples & Oranges
the lables are on the wrong boxes so that no box is correctly labled. You may choose 1 piece of fruit from 1 box in order to correctly determine the correct labels for all three boxes. You may not look in any of the three boxes at any time. Which box do you take the fruit out of and how does this allow you to correctly label all three boxes?
Enjoy.

Riddle answer: You pick from the carton mislabeled as "Apples and Oranges". If you pull out an orange, you know it's all oranges, and the only other choices are "apples" and "apples and oranges". Since the carton mislabeled "apples" cannot BE apples or it wouldn't be mislableled, it has to be apples and oranges, and the one mislabeled "oranges" has to be apples. If you pull out an apple, then the only other choices are "oranges" and "apples & oranges". Again, the carton now saying "oranges" cannot be oranges, it must be "apples & oranges" which leaves the carton saying "apples" as oranges.
Hmm, now I have to go. Well...
It has some grammatical errors but it's a cute little thing, so I'll reproduce it in its entirety.
"What has roots as nobody sees, Is taller than trees, Up, up it goes, And yet never grows?"
