The FREE enchanting service run by Gryffindor is open once again! ;D
This is how it works:
We have a Master Enchanter(ME), who is currently Hermione.
The ME's job is not to enchant (they can if they really want to) but to organize enchanting.
She maintains a list of names of enchanters and their wits. Whenever there is a request for enchanting, she writes a PM to the enchanter with the wits and time to handle the equipment telling them to expect that item in the mail. Once she does that, she responds to the request telling the requester who to send to.
--Requests:
There are a few things to keep in mind when you make a request; one of which is to remember that it is possible that it will take awhile to go through the entire process. Be patient, this service is being done as a favor to you; a simple 'thank you' can go a long way.
There are a couple rules...
1. Only send one item per request unless specifically accepted by the ME and Enchanter involved.
2. Do NOT send items to any enchanter unless your request has been replied to by the ME. The ME has the list of verified enchanters who we trust, if you send without that verification you do so at your own risk.
3. Include a letter with your item. Doesn't really matter what you say, but having that letter will help make sure that your item does not go astray.
4. Be reasonable.
--Enchanters:
If you have the wits, the time, and/or the physical stamina of clicking fingers, we can use your help. The way this system is set up, the more enchanters there are, the less work for each of the enchanters. If you desire to be an enchanter, just send the ME a PM with the name of the DC character that you wish to use, its wits, and a quick somethingorother to let her know that becoming an enchanter is what you have in mind. As soon as she gets that, you will be added to the list of enchanters.
Enchanting policies...
1. If you receive an item without a note, send it back(after oiling it)
2. If you receive multiple items from the same name,
a) Enchant one then send them all back.
b) Send them all back.
c) Enchant them all and send a note warning them to send 1/time.
3. Let the ME know right away if you are getting sick of enchanting, need a break, or wish to be removed from the list of enchanters.
We maintain the right to decline a request.
If you have any questions, problems, etc, please contact the ME or myself. Thank you for reading this first :)cgi
