In this competition, everyone who makes an ad and posts it here gets a prize. Those who's ads I like a lot will get a better prize. Multiple submissions encouraged (For now 10 frys for participation, 30 for one I like a lot) WARNING: Unless you state otherwise, If you post an ad here, anyone in the clan may copy paste it into the clan hall(must give credit to the writer of the ad somewhere in the post). -------Since I didn't make it clear before, post the ads here. You can place them in the Clan Hall as well, but the ones here will be the ones that I judge. Rules: 1) Ad must not include bribes. 2) Must not put down any other clans 3) Follow all standard DC forum protocals(PM me if you have a Q) Ex: Potter blathers on and on about You don't need a clangryffindorclan.proboards58.com/index.cgiClans need you. When it comes right down to it, all that any clan has to offer that is different from any other clan is its specific array of members. Clan A's members make you feel like you are part of a family. Clan B's members make you feel like you are part of a partnership. Clan C's members make you feel like you are hanging out at the bar with some friends. The integral part of this arrangement is you. You make the members of Clan A feel like their family is growing, more people to care for; Clan B has a new partner to crush the opposition with; Clan C is becoming more popular, making more friends. There are a lot more clans than there are clanless players, that's why all the clans in the Clan Hall are screaming for your attention. If you are smart, you'll look for the type of environment you enjoy most and stick with them whether it be a family, a partner, or friend that you are looking for. Because there are so many clans, though, it would be next to impossible to look into every one and honestly, it's a lot of effort. I ask that you do my clan, Gryffindor, the honor of looking into us before you make a final decision. We are a respected clan known for lending help where it is needed. If you want to see more specifically who we are and how you would fit in with us, stop by our forum via the link above. ~Potter Founder of Gryffindor

Old Friends, New Friends, and Newcomers,
Clan Gryffindor has recently decided to make a push for the THREE THOUSAND power mark by the fourth of July! Can it be done? YES! Shall it be done? YES! What do we need? Your help! Newcomers, we would love you to join our family and help us on our very fast road to the three thousand level. New and Old friends, we know clan loyalty is a must, and we are not encouraging you to leave your old clan, but if you would like to create a new character to help us on our quest it would be most helpful. Failing that, we could always use a good cheering section.
For newcomers, you would be hard pressed to find a warmer more inviting atmosphere that Gryffindor. We help in every aspect of the game, from our wonderful Medic Visaru, to our Free Marks department provided by me, to our amazing armorer Dawniegirl. We have upgrades, as well as rare upgrades, from everyone from level 8 (because you cant get into the castle until then) to level 48 (me) So come check us out. Say hello in the leaky cauldron, and most of all have a good time.
We hope to see you around, Vertigo3 Clan Banker

Thanks guys. I'll send frys after reset. Here's another one from me, sort of(Originally written by Cynder): Potter speaks up on A taste of Gryffindor RPG...gryffindorclan.proboards58.com/index.cgiWho could know a bit of Barroom boasting would lead you here? Here - waiting at a small curve in the huge stone wall surrounding the Hill of Champions. ...Two nights ago, as the drinks had flowed, so too had the boasts. Until a slight figure spoke up --- "You lie! You all lie! You know nothing of the Training Grounds. Nothing! To belittle the Champions when they take days to emerge -- to say you could navigate the grounds in hours.... You lie! You all lie! Even were you to go in at night, when most of the beasts have been caged and most of the traps disabled -- Why I bet none of you could go in at dusk and return by dawn." Your head still somewhat clear you saw the flaw immediately, "No one goes in at night! So 'tis a safe bet you make and one easy to win!" "I go in at night all the time, and back out, but..." What matter whose voice interrupted her? T'was the drink that talked! "So you go in and out? And you accuse us of idle boasting! You show us your way in, we'll bet you a week of drinks and win it!" "I am P'yorn, daughter of the Groundskeeper. I know a way in, a back door. Do you still wish to bet?" As the dumbfounded silence grew, she turned away, "Bah! You are all idle boasters. But I do not boast. In two nights time I will be at the NW corner, where the wall curves in before out." ... A grinding sound from the wall near you interupts your reminescence. A crack appears and a section of the wall moves slowly inward. P'yorn sticks her head out. "So, you didn't chicken out after all." This wasn't exactly what you had imagined your first visit to the Champions' Training Ground would be like - entering through the back door in the middle of the night. But the chance to see the famous grounds... usually reserved for those who had passed rigorous tests, was irrisistable! All dreamed of passing the tests to enter the Grounds. Maybe one day you would too and whatever knowledge you could gain this night might help then. "Hurry up!" P'yorn motions you in. "All of you. Quickly!" You enter a dark chamber. Although you are above ground, there is a damp, musty smell to the air and a feeling of great pressure. Something titters in the distance. P'yorn closes the door after the last person and there is a few moments of darkness until a lit candle appears in her hand. "So," P'yorn looks around the room, "who all has come? One would think two days would have been enough to sober you." *Go to the link above to get involved*

I will send both of you the frys that you have earned whether you like it or not! Seriously though, if you don't want them for yourself, keep them until you see someone that needs them.... Then send out. Here is another from me: Potter Blathers on and on about Psychology of ads...www.ClanGryffindor.comThere’s a couple ways we can go about this. There are the most common approaches found here, guilt, interest, rebellion, simple, repetition, and just plain odd: Guilt: “Our clan stands for all that is good and wonderful, if you like that, we’re for you.” ---------Implication: If you don’t join us, you are a moral-less jerk. Interest: “If you like RP’ing (Volleyball, Cheese, The US, eating dogfood, etc.), we have it in spades, so join us.” ---------Assumption: There is enough interest to create a strong draw. Rebellion A: “Down with (Enter name of top ranked clan here)! You are only a drop in the water to them; to us you are everything.” ---------Hope: You will overlook the fact that joining anyone but the second in line for clan power won’t really do anything to displace them, and if you join the second in line… well, you’re still only a drop as far as that argument goes. Rebellion B: “Down with Clans! We are different from everyone else!” ---------Hope: You will overlook the fact that even if they really are different somehow, if they are successful in growing, they will become continually more diluted and eventually become very much like all the other clans. Simple: “Join X” or “look us up” ---------Angle: You are either tired of looking through lots of text or are too lazy to read a few lines. Repetition: “Copy/paste previously used ad here” ---------Hope: You have not seen the prior posting or do not remember it. Saves lots of effort and time. Odd: “Rules for playing Taffle Ball: …… Join X” or some other out of the ordinary thing ---------Assumptions: You are tired of the same old, same old, and want something funny/different. If I am odd, likely more in the clan will also be odd/entertaining. But seeing how I’ve already done all of these(except rebellion), now I’m trying: I know this is an ad with a purpose to draw more people to my clan, just like everyone else here; I know you know; and I’m cutting the cr@p. It kind of runs a bit like a combination of simple, odd, and rebellion B. Well, let me know how it works. PS- The Psychology of ads one may or may not have been a good one for drawing more people, but it certainly stumped the other people trying to post clan ads! Heeehee, no one posted another clan ad for a day and a half! Usually there are 3-6 a day.

Humph, you want something off the top of my head? Okay:
Hear ye, Hear ye! Clan Gryffindor proudly announces its arrival into the -which century is it again? Anyway, in light of all the recent fund-raising and InsertCauseHere Drives that have been going around lately, we've decided to borrow the concept. Yes, folks, that's right, Gryffindor is having a Power Drive. This has nothing to do with power drills. No, we're working our way to earning a fourth clan power, and like everyone else, we'd prefer to do it with the least amount of work possible. Easiest way to do that, of course, is to find that elusive person, Many Hands. Light work sounds so much better. So if you happen to see him or her, please let us know, and meanwhile we'd welcome any help on our latest Quest.
Er, did I mention that it's three in the morning? Lol.

Thanks! You have Frys on their way to you in the mail! Dumbledor exposes I had a lousy day today...gryffindorclan.proboards58.com/index.cgiI was feeling all sorts of lonely. Not the lonely where there's no one to hold you, but the lonely that comes from realizing just how many people there are and how little you mean to the majority of them. But then, as I sat at my computer trading embarressing facts with one of my best friends that I've met online I noticed that I'd started to feel better. Within the world that is DC, the world that is Gryffindor, and the world that is my friends and acquaintences online....I mean something. Thank you to those who have allowed me to make an impact on your lives. Thank you to those who have read these words and therefor allowed them to exist to you. ~Dumbledor, the feeling better about himself one Advocate of Gryffindor

Awwww, that's so cute! Oh! I just realized you must be VERY sick of that smiley -lol, it's the only one not listed up in the Quick Reply line-up. Frys I will NEVER turn down! Lol, there's always someone I can give them to. You know, there ought to be a way to pun off that title of ours... The DC geiko: I feel we should be perfectly clear. Gryffindorians are only incidentally involved with Griffins. Or Gryphons, or Gryfins, or Griphens, or howsoever you want to spell the critturs. We are a band of (mostly) people, and a clan of mighty ones indeed, but although we have a riddle thread we do NOT swoop down on unsuspecting travelers to ask them unanswerable questions (mostly), and we certainly don't eat them afterwards (Quick, hide Torra's Torture, er, Treasure, Chamber!). Really! We aren't the least bit mythical -see for yourself.

Are you a level twelve with a 28a elf bow who isnt quite sure where to quest?
Or are you a level 22 trader in training who wants to know what you should expect from the 75a Crystal gauntlets you just found in Brazil?
Well it sounds to me like you need a mentor. Someone to guide you along your path to wherever you want to go in Dragon Court.
Gryffindor has players from every path. Whether you want to just have some fun and quest in the area right for you, or your goal is to become the newest biggest richest trader, Gryffindor has members that can help you along your way.
One recent success story, Visaru, has gone from brand new to active member and clan medic in RECORD time.
Another success story is more of a first person narritive. I had started with another major clan, but I decided they werent for me. I decided to try out gryffindor because I liked the enviornment. Less than 9 months later Im a major trader, Gryffindor Moderator and Banker, as well as a Dragon Court Moderator, and I would be more than willing to help anyone on their way to any of the three.
So wherever you have been, and wherever you are going there is more than likely a gryffindor member accomplishing or who has accomplished what you desire, and is more than willing to share expirience as well as the gear, marks, medical supplies that of course come with being a gryffindor member.

Thanks, both of you! Frys on their way! Nuts... Now I have to come up with another one Here's one from Vert: Vertigo3 discusses Multi-Clan Adgryffindorclan.proboards58.com/index.cgiWould you like to be in a clan that keeps Dragon Court safe for all players, then you should concider C.R.Y.S.T.A.L. We are a fairly new clan created by two of Dragon Courts most prominent members, a Mod and the Operator of the Scammer List. Our goal is to have fun like any other clan, but we also have the purpose of keeping the trading post safe for other traders. If you are interested check us out: thecrystalclan.proboards47.com/index.cgiand if you like us Petition C.R.Y.S.T.A.L. If that doesnt sound like your cup of tea check out Gryffindor. This clan is one of the kindest, most inviting in Dragon Court. They maintain a home like feeling, while still maintaining a top 10 position at all times. Gryffindor is run by a mixed team of veterans and new comers. Anyone can make a home at gryffindor. Every member counts. gryffindorclan.proboards58.com/index.cgiEither choice is a good option, but if neither of those sound good to you check out Sick-Of-It-All. They are strong at the second spot and they do a good job of keeping their members well suited and ready for battle. They are some of the most generous players in DC. They also have a board that is swarming with activity. Whether your looking for a friend or a debate, you are likely to find it at SOIA www.soia.uscheers Vertigo3 Co-leader of Crystal Banker of Gryffindor Member of SOIA Dragon Court Moderator Too many Titles And one from me: Potter Chats about Gryffindor; Consider Joining!www.ClanGryffindor.comI just realized that it would take you less time to just go to the link above and see Gryffindor for yourself than it usually takes to read one of my ads for it. So I'm not going to go on about how awsome, spectacular, wonderful, friendly, helpful, entertaining, wholesome, stellar, magnificent, astounding, grand, prodigious, marvelous, sensational, honorable, legendary, accommodating, benevolent, caring, considerate, constructive, cooperative, neighborly, pragmatic, sympathetic, and supportive it is. I guess all I'm trying to say is to make sure that you do yourself the benefit of visiting our website and meet some of the people who make us who we are before you make any final decisions. Do not be deceived by what you think a clan named Gryffindor is without ever looking into it yourself. ~Dumbledor Advocate of Gryffindor

That's great!!!! I will send 30 frys next reset (so you'll get em the day after tomorrow), and I'll add another 10 if you post it in the Clan Hall yourself. Man, you are really good at this! You should get those other two in here as well! Careful, though, try not to use any other clans' names in the ads unless it is in a positive way; it's in the rules(Or it should be). I'll send more frys once you copy the ads over to here. Did I mention that you are really good at these?!? __________________________________________ Dumbledor talks about: Read this. It's important. www.ClanGryffindor.comThe clan you are in will ultimately determine what kind of experience you will get from playing DC. Choose carefully. DC is not a complex game with lots of astounding graphics. Why do so many people play it? Because of the people that play it. What does it matter if you just got an amazing piece of armor and can waltz through Jaguars without breaking a sweat unless you can tell people who care, who know how hard that is? Without interesting people, how long do you think it will take before you are bored of killing pictures of creatures to see what drops? A year? Two? The end result will still be the same: You move on to a new game, maybe even come back to this one after awhile, but it won't be fulfilling. It'll just be entertaining. If entertaining is all you want, why aren't you watching a movie, playing a game with amazing graphics, or something with a *gasp* plot? Consider what makes this game fun for you. Find a clan that will promote that. DO NOT just pick a clan because it has a cool name that goes with your character, or because it's the biggest one, or because they give you the best stuff... Those are passing joys, gone after a very short while. Take the time to go to these clan's forums and sites to learn who they are; it will take you some time and effort, sure, but then all of the time you spend playing DC will be enjoyed that much more. Thank you for your time, ~Dumbledor Advocate of Gryffindor
