I would like to Present my newest invention to you, my family, before I take it nationally. Feel free to steal my invention, but always give me credit afterwards.
So here it is. But first I'll explain what you have to be, and what the other person has to be. Well you have to be the same thing... emotionally unavailable and friends.
My particular friend just got out of a long relationship, and isnt looking for another one. Me, I'm engaged to a wonderful girl who just happens to live... a bagillion miles away from me. So I have created this new thing. Its called....... A friend date. Yes thats right A Friend Date.
What you do is you have a date. Then except for the kiss at the door at the end of the night, and inviting them in and all that stuff... you DONT.
Like seriously, dating is tons of fun. You get to get dressed up, go out to nice dinners, then you get to do something fun. The most traditional of which being going to the movies, but you can mix it up. Go laser tagging, go to the beach late at night, whatever. And if you do it with a good friend who is also emotionally unavailable, its all fun. Nobody gets hurt. There is no awkward tention because everyone involved knows its just friends hanging out. Ahh the friend date. America's next revolution.

Um... Is'nt that called, "Hanging out" or "Going out with some(a) friends"? Out of curiosity, what is it that you normally do with your friends?

yea this seems like ordinary friendship and ur robbing urself from the best part of daiting Still see ur point of doin something special with a friend instead of just whatching TV or playing a game or something. Maybe I should try this friend dating...

Yeah the difference being when I hang out with my friends we usually just chill or go somewhere. Not get all fancied up and be extra nice to each other, and tell each other how nice each other look. There is a subtle difference, but I assure you its there. Or and Raynin I completely disagree. 90% of my friends are female, and it's been that way for a very long time with very little incident.

It does sometimes work. Lol, it's very easy for guys and girls to be friends without incidence if the guy isn't interested in girls and the girl isn't interested in guys!

He got married? I thought we were voting on his fiancee. That means he's not married yet, right?

Ahhh okay. Fair enough. But you can be friends and still drool over someone. Doesnt change the fact that the friendship worked.

ROFLMAO! Good one sookie! I think that guy/girl friendships are definitely possible. There is a lot more potential for things to get complicated. But they are possible and great none the less.

yeah i have to agree..but personally i believe that guys and girls can't be friends...somebody always like somebody....it never seems to work. I love it! When Harry Met Sally. its a chick flick from the 80's and thats is the whole theme of the movie. guys and girls CANNOT be friends without S E X getting in the way. I personally don't believe that. in fact it's been a source of fun tension between me and a friend of Rind's .- I say that because he can't come and and hang out with me unless Rind is there. now, he says that I am his friend too, but it is disrespectful for a man to hang out with another man's wife unless he is there. UGH! where is the vows does it state " I DO promise to never have another male friend as long as I live" ? I don't remember it.

A wedding in a kitchen -you just KNOW the bride's veil would catch fire on the stovetop. I can see it now on one of those educational videos they show you in Health class: How Not to Use Your Stove.

AND... you all can ask Hermi. I don't cook very well! Rind once told me that if I clean the inside of the house, he'll mow the lawn. when he got home from work the lawn was mowed. by me. thats how I feel about that. what? I thought I was clever!
