There are some great fantasy series by Tamora Pierce. Read the Wild Magic series and the Alanna series. They are technically childrens books, but I read them recently and thought they were fantastic.

I like childrens books. Only thing different is that they have a more obvious plot and usually a very classic one like love, hate, betrayal, dont tell lies etc. etc.

Well, while books are great fun, they aren't the best time spenders.... Just don't last long enough(exception, Robert Jordon, who's books last almost too long).
Computer games are the true consumers of time. Followed closely by some video games. Best non-internet computer game of all time: Baldur's gate II;Shadows of Amn It's fairly old, so almost everyone's computers nowadays can handle it and you don't need to play Baldur'sGate I first. The only thing, though, is that I suggest that you download the patch from online(Google: Baldur's gate shadows of amn patch). There are a few very annoying glitches that were fixed.

yes, Tv games sure can suck ur life up. I loooove the final fantasy series. GTA have taken its killed alot of time for me and Diablo as well. But there are long movies as well. here comes usless knowlege hrm, hrm: The longest movie ever made is called "the cure for insomnia" and is somewhat 86 hours long! Its basically a back set with porn pics and someones reading poetry as an audio line so its not much of a movie.

Im not even joking, the PRIMARY reason for dropout at my university for computer science majors is WORLD OF WARCRAFT! hahahaha... people flunk out because they spend way too much playing and not nearly enough time going to classes.

No its more like diablo but much better graphics, much bigger, much more stuff to get and veeeery good player interaction. But those bastards charge a monthly fee and u have to spend months to get good at it and thats play for hours every day months Im talking about. I dont think its worth it..

Its wildly addicting. But luckily Ive stayed away until now so at this point when so many other players have already done most things a million times and start to drop off its not that funny anymore. Games are cool when theyre new, when a games been around for more then a year and some people still play like their life depended on it its really just sad. And unlike games like CS theres not even the slightest chance to make any money playing WoW.
