I can imagine u guys had one of these threads when I wasnt around but if so, REPOST , U see I just finished all Dan Browns books, Im in a movie dry out and my record collection is getting dusty , so everyone please post ur favorite listener, reader and movie tips so I can get going again. Im sick and tired of watching re-runs of alias every night til I pass out of boredom Heres some of mine to start of Books:The Harry Potter series (For the odd chance that anyone here havent already read them. fantasy/adventure) The Da Vinci code, Angels and Demons and at the center of the cirkle? (not sure about the translation but their all dan brown, MUST READ THEM!! and the Angels & demons book IS better then the Da Vinci code, almost much better, for real, and it takes place before the Code so read it first and ull love it, thrillers) Evil Souls by Eino Hanski (a wonderful psyko-drama about a guy in a mental hospital) Records:Dream theater: Imigas and words (my favourite album of all times, progressive heavy metal) System of a down, any record (everybody likes them, great when ur working out, strange metal) Bob Marley, any record (the reagge KING!! if not on the record, make sure to download Africa unite, a really good not so famous song) Movies:Sin city (If u havent yet seen it... its a master piece I tell u! stylish action) Interview with a vampire & queen of the craped(The only two movies from the book series I belive, If u like vampire movies then MUST SEE, thirllerish) Saw 1 & 2 (if u liked seven and havnt seen these ones yet then DO IT, thriller) So thats it for now, Ill post more when I think of them.

Ugh. Battle Royal makes me sick! Too violent in a creepy JrHigh kids killing each other kind of way.
Books:
The first three Robert Jordan books(Don't continue unless you are in love)
The Anita Blake series by L.K. Hamilton(Don't start a book unless you have enough time to finish the entire book at once--I have NEVER read anything that was even close to this enthralling)
Horatio Hornblower novels by C.S. Forrester(Historical fiction, Napoleonic time period. I have never learned so much and enjoyed it-- teaches you navy knowlwdge)

Really? Battle Royal was a SUPER dark book. Even darker movie, but it was definatly worth the read. I thought that they could have an overall positive message in a book like that was amazing.

hmm, I think ive heard of battle royal. Isnt that a Japanese story where a buss load of kids gets droped on a secluded island and fight each other til there all dead? Some of them even get like, kitchen utilities instead of real guns.... ive been wanting to see that movie for a loooong time but my friends only want to watch swedish movies n believe me when I say this: they suck big time! I think ive seen 5 good swedish movies in my life.

those r the ones ive seen then. Their really good i think since they are using krav manga n Kali eskrima as main martial arts and thats very uncommon in american movies plus I like supernatural hero type films, im dying to see the new X-men ;D

I'm a little dissappointed in it. There was very little plot.

Hm, if you like that type of movie & book, read Jim Butcher's (maybe it's James Butcher, but I'm pretty sure it's Jim) Harry Dresden series. Harry Dresden is the only wizard listed in the yellow pages of chicago... he's like the P.I. for the supernatural community, and it's GREAT stuff. Dark, but you sound good with that. His sidekick is this lecherous information spirit that lives in a skull, well over a thousand years old, named... Bob. I'm telling you, this is FANTASTIC. Speaking of which, Potter, don't read them, you're getting the set for Hanuka this year, don't spoil it.

Interlibrary loan? Request to buy form?
Friend who owns a copy and isn't too paranoid to lend it to you? Lol. The first one is, what, storm front? Well, he has a website, so it shouldn't be too hard to find. But they're worth buying.

Storm Front, Fool Moon, Grave Peril, Summer Knight, Death Masks, Blood Rites, Dead Beat, Proven Guilty... that's the order of the Harry Dresden books. (Author IS Jim Butcher).

wow, lots of great tips that might lead to great reading moments. Ill think I check out that Jim guys books, he seems to be popular and ill throw in another tip from me. A thing with movies that often makes people not wanna see them is that they might be more then 3 hours. Isay rent a move thats over 9 hours and make a day of it If its a good movie watched with good friends and good food it can be how long it wants. Other things can wait, as they say in Italy:ehh, Maybe tomorrow.
