never make homemade noodles with self rising flour - they become more like very long dumplings (but still quite tasty )

Grrr, making noodles... I can NEVER get them to come out right! NEVER! I can never get them completely smooth, and lumps in noodles just DOESN'T work. Ergh. Or they break, or I knead it too long, or something! THere's always something! And how could you have self-rising flour? All flour needs a rising agent -even if you're making salt-rising bread!

There is some flour you can get with the rising agent in it already...I guess added baking soda or something. I never use it though, would mess up like every single recipe I have since they rely on a rising agent that you add to the recipe, so using self-rising flour......heh that'd be an interesting cake... Ummm..useless knowledge. Hitler wanted to be an artist til around 1908 when he was rejected for the second time by Academy of Fine Arts of Vienna, when they told him that he was not capable of becoming a painter, but he could possibly work toward being an architect. Then World War I came and he left architecture...that's a drag cause otherwise we might have had a couple extra buildings in the world, instead of World War II. And I'm sure most know the above already but I just learned it and it's cool so don't say nothin. :-p

Friedrich Nietzsche said, - "Insanity in individuals is something rare - but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule."

Don't forget war. He should have stuck that in, too. Sigh.
On a lighter note, The hole in 5 and 1/2 floppies just fits a raspberry.

It takes from 15 up to 45 minutes to make an MRI scan... So many useless (or maybe not that useless) things I find doing my research...

It only takes 25 seconds of an MRI scan to drive you batty!

If you grate horseradish outside it doesn't make your eyes water quite so badly.
Also, if you don't have any brandy to make pfeffernuesse, you can use rum.

Wasabi playdough is only for adults -kids will try and eat it and then swear never to talk to you again, EVEN IF YOU'VE WARNED THEM! Sigh.

'Robin Hood' with Kevin Costner~is one of my favorite movies. I even bought the CD to listen to the music in my SUV.

Isn't Kevin Costner the actor who did so well with the Pirate King in "Pirates of Penzance?" It's my favourite Gilbert and Sullivan simply because of that movie!
Oh, right, random fact. People used to hang clothes in their garderobes because the smell would keep moths away. Ick! It would keep most PEOPLE away too, if their noses were working!
