Garrumph draws her staff up and with a fierce cry, brings it down hard on the tail, hitting with the end of the staff rather than a sideways hit.
She is hoping to puncture the tail and further distract the creature so that more damage can be done to its injured side.

Frizzer slams against the creature's side. It's a bit like slamming into a stretched rubber sheet --- it gives and then rebounds, pushing Frizzer back. But the edge did rise off the ground in the process. It looks like it might be possible for one to slam the side and the other to roll under.
The bit of fresh air that entered under the edge was not enough to dispell the gagging smell. It is getting hard to breath under here!
As Garrumph rushes around the side of the creature toward the tail, she sees the side of the creature (under the dent she made) bulge outward toward her and then flatten back to its normal shape. (*** Frizelious slamming into it from underneath***)
SuperBattler wacks the tail with his staff, slowing its sweep long enough for Garrumph to smash it into the ground with her staff.
The tail is pinned under Garrumph's staff. The tip of the tail uncurls and twitches slightly.
Garrumph feels a huge sideways tug as the creature attempts to get its tail out from under her staff. Big shudders run across the surface of the creature as it shakes.
Underneath the creature, Frizelious sees the great mouth close and then open. This time the shakes are bigger and the drops of drool are spread further. Over at the side of the creature, Frizelious and Blacksky do not get hit with any drops, but they come perilously close!

Frizelious at the moment cannot rely on Blacksy for help, he takes out his double daggers again and charges the creatures side and attempts to slice down through the skin as it stretches.

Blacksky rolls to the side onto his feet to get out from underneath the creatures belly and tries to find a small amount of shelter to apply his poison.

Garumph removes her staff from the tail and examines the monster quickly for another vulnerable spot.

Frizelious slams the side again & slices down -- Blacksky slides under the edge. A stalagmite is nearby & Blacksky is able to hide near it to apply his poison.
Frizelious has plenty of time to examine the cut he made (with his speeded up senses). At the top the cut is very much like those he made in the belly -- slicing into a thick callous or fat layer, but at the bottom --- there is now a slit!!! The slit is only 6 inches, but....?
As Garrumph looks for vunerable spots, she notices Blacksky roll out from beneath the creature. The most noticable vunerable spot is the smashed armor where first SuperBattler, then Garrumph hit. Since the armor is broken there....? Garrumph also notices six eyes evenly spaced around the creature's edge. The eyes are not easy to see & she had to look hard to find them. They are not always open and seem to have a hard lid that closes over them to protect them. But when open...?
SuperBattler --- when Garrumph's staff lifts from the tail, it begins to quest for you once more, but the end drags on the ground, and it moves slowly and jerkily. It is not nearly the menace it once was. Where once it seemed like it could wrap around you and drag you under the belly... now you just need to avoid tripping on it.
Under the creature, the mouth closes and opens. Great shakes ripple over the creature and hissing drops spray from the mouth, some are flying directly toward Frizelious......

Frizelious is still in time dialation ( which will last 3 rounds) and can easily deflect with his daggers or avoid the drops of spray. He concentrates on the slit in the side of the creature and hacks upover with his daggers to cut a way out

Garrumph waits, poised near the eyes, for them to open. As soon as they open without the hard lid, she hits them hard with her staff broadside.

Garrumph sees an open eye & smashes it. The creature opens the next eye and looks at her. As Garrumph swings, it tries to close the 2nd eye, but is not fast enough! The creature shuts its remaining eyes and settles closer to the ground. After a moment, the whole creature begins to shake and vibrate.
Frizelious focuses on dodging the drops. Each time the creature has shut and then opened its mouth there has been increasing amounts of hissing liquid and the drops have been smaller, and spread further. This last is like a shower of rain.... what will be next? mist? how will he dodge that?
Frizelious successfully dodges most of the drops, but is forced to deflect a couple with one of his daggers. The drop hits the blade's surface and immediately begins to bubble....
As soon as the shower is finished, Frizelious starts slashing at the slit, working to extend the cut upward. He is making progress... and then the creature lowers further! The slit is now a good twenty inches long, but only 10 inches of gap! The good news is that cutting wiped the liquid from the dagger leaving behiind only a couple small pits. The bad news is that the slit is now high enough that it takes more than two swipes to cut thru the creature's side.
Behind him, Frizelious can hear the mouth shut.....
Blacksky finishes applying the poison to his dagger.

SuperBattler aims his staff near where he last saw an open eye. All the eyes are closed now and it is a little hard to tell where they are. His mighty blow dents the creature's armor! In the corner of his eye he sees an arm protruding from under the creature's side. It is between him and Garrumph and a few steps would take him there.
Garrumph sees SuperBattler handling the eyes and, looking around, notices an arm protruding from a slit in the creature's side. It is only a couple steps away!
Frizelious hacks at the slit & lengthens it another six inches. There is now 2 feet of slit above the ground and more slit rests against the ground. All told there is almost 3 feet (almost 1 meter) of slit. Behind Frizelious, the mouth of the creature closes.....

Garrumph grabs the arm and reaches inside hoping to find another arm to drag out the unfortunate would-be monster-snack.

Garrumph has a firm grip on one arm and is bent over reaching into the creature when the sides begin to shake...
Frizelious feels his arm grabbed & sees a hand reachiing through the slit. Behind him the mouth opens and the creature begins to shake...

Superbattler wacks the creature a mighty blow, breaking through the armor. The creature jerks and the closest eye flys open, rolls around and focuses on Superbattler.
Blacksky watches the battle from behind a stalagmite, his poisoned dagger held ready in his hand.
Garrumph successfully helps Frizelious in his struggles to get out from under the creature.
Frizelious -- All his efforts finally pay off and Frizelious successfully forces his way through the slit! Behind him the spray from the creature's mouth splatters on the ground. Was he fast enough? or did a few drops reach him before he was all the way through?
A shudder runs through the creature as it jerks a few feet away from Superbattler's blows. It stays on the ground. Does it think it still has something trapped under it?

Frizelious got caught with a few drops of acidic spray, but not enough to be of real concern, as he spills out of the creature he fliped through the air and tossed his daggers at the creatures open eye
