shortcut -- Dawniegirl has some weapons with 'Popular' & that will help you gain favor faster (be sure to equip them while your mingling, or whatever). Post in the Armory & she'll help you out.
Basically you just need lots of favor to rank up & that just takes time (Popular helps, but.... no miracle)
lets see.... used to have bunches of info somewhere around here (rumages around on her desktop)..... yes! here it is:
Favor = 50 x Rank x (Rank +1) Where Rank = the rank you want.
Rank = Favor to get -- Title(female) 0 = 0 -- Peasant (Peasant) 1 = 100 -- Squire (Lady) 2 = 300 -- Knight (Dame) 3 = 600 -- Captain (Amazon) 4 = 1000 -- Baron (Baroness) 5 = 1500 -- Count (Countess) 6 = 2100 -- Viscount (Comtessa) 7 = 2800 -- Marquis (Marquessa) 8 = 3600 -- Earl (Earl) 9 = 4500 -- Duke (Duchess) 10 = 5500 -- Prince (Princess) 11 = 6600 -- Viceroy (Viceroy) 12 = 7800 -- Regent (Regent) 13 = 9100 -- Seneschal (Seneschal)
If you want to know your favor, then after you finish playing: click on the 'lists' on the upper right corner of the game screen. Then click on 'Favor' & you'll see your character's favor (& rank on the Favor list!). You can find your Fame out from the lists, too.
But it's really not necessary, since the game tells you to go see the Queen when your favor is high enough.
oh.... earning favor:
Mingling - best way for lower level characters to get favor Success is based on charm. Each mage guild = +5 charm.
Boasting - twice the risk (but twice the gain of Mingling --- also can lose 1/2 your money! so don't take much in.) Success is based on charm. Each fighter guild = +5 charm.
Dicing - weird one 'cause if you're winning money, you're losing favor! Based on wits and money in backpack. Each trader guild = +5 wits. More wits = better chance of winning money (and losing favor). This is NOT a good way to get favor ('cause you'll lose a lot of money if you are gaining favor).
Gaming - good way for bigger characters (150-200+ guts) to gain favor (but not as good as mingling was for the little guys). Success is based on guts. Each Fighter guild = +5 guts. You can take damage, but you'll never take more than 50% of your guts in damage on a single gaming try.

Okay, Something is rotten in DC. I mingled about 20 quests, gained 350 fame (did not get killed or mezzed -- thanks to frys and sage skills), but LOST 29 favor points. How can this be happening? Am I doomed to be the oldest Earl in DC WHAAAAAA....I wanna be a Dutchess

You automatically lose, I don't know, is it 5%? of your favor every day, so you have to mingle or boast or game or whatever enough to recoup the loss, and EXTRA to go up further. It took me three days of solid mingling/gaming to go from duchess to princess. (And that's with my highest ranking character.) So 20 quests a day might keep you from getting demoted, but it won't bump you up in rank. You'll have to devote more time to it than that. Sorry. Have an exalt for your efforts.

question on Queens blessing...minor and major. If you keep all your cash, enchants, rings, nuggets, time crystals,junk...etc in your pack and do the blessing do you still lose some of it. I have a hard time figuring out why i would spend $500 k to keep just my weapons from rusting when you can oil them.

the queens Major blessing protects everything in your pack and on you from all rust. I buy the major blessing everyday and load everything I need to protect into my pack every "night". my stuff does not rust or rot over night. hope that helps jtg

ok...that makes some sense......I have to go kill dragons just to basically break even on marks daily...lol. so leave weapons in storage and keep faerys, marks, rings, etc in your pack so you don't lose any of those, is the way around rot.

Yeah but Faerys, Marks, Rings, etc only will fill up about 8 spots in your pack. YOu should fill the rest with weapons or they will rust in storage. If you need Marks Post in Gringrotts. :-D

mmm, Just get rid of all the rubish and stick everything in your pack at the end of the day, if 80 slots aint enough, create another char , just for storage. I also can let you have millions

Once you get the major blessing, the next day the minor blessing is still in effect, so all you have to renew is the major one. It's still expensive, but that does help a little.

You shouldn't have lost any if you used the great blessing,,unless your pack was overloaded

Frizzer..thanks...gonna have to watch it......I had probably 57 of the 80 items.
I thought I was figuring it right that the full blessings protected everything in your backpack.

It does. But if you have over 80 items then things still rust :-\

Just a thought for Trisultan, Make sure you put the stuff you want protected in the pack BEFORE you go get the blessing from the Queen. I used to go get the blessing then go to storage and put the suff in my pack....the next day some of it was rusted. Then I started putting the stuff in the pack before I went and got the Queen's blessing and I haven't had a problem since. Hope that helps

Ok...have about had it with the Queens blessing. Filled backpack before the blessing...have less than 80 items in the backpack......day before...lost around 150 fairys......today...just signed on.......lost in the neighborhood of 800,000,000 marks.
I know it is only a game...but gezzz...took me forever to build up that much....LOL
