Is it more like sickle-cell anemia granting partial immunity to malaria?

That's pretty funny! But they had a number of victories in the hundred year war, and with Napolean -well, obviously quite a number of victories under him, as well. Wonder why they aren't being pulled up?

Hmmmmm, just the sort of place Frizzer might habituate. Think I'll leave it here. Oh, & to pay for the rent....
Useless Knowledge: there are 206 bones in the human body (depending on how you count them)
Now...
Hey, Frizzer --- if I remember correctly you were rhapsodizing over some Italian shoes? I think I just learned why.
Went shopping for men's clothes with my sweetie. (learned a ton about men's fashion -- all about fabric & subtlety). Found a great suit (Italian) & then had to find some correspondingly great shoes... went all over creation (well, at least thru most of the stores in the twin cities -- including the mall of America!) the only ones that were at all decent were..... Italian! (and cost a fortune)
oh... but does he look great, tho' (*insert lots of rhapsodizing *) ;D

Hermione, that one got me at first too. If you just do a regular google search, it'll pull up the victories, but the "i'm feeling lucky" button link's you to an imposter page. (do it again, then check the address, it's an albinoblacksheep page)

Reading of luck brings this to mind. Some people consider the $1 bill unlucky because there are so many 13's on it: 13 stars, 13 stripes, 13 steps, 13 arrows and even an olive branch with 13 leaves on it. Of course the $1 bill is unlucky - if it was lucky it would be a $100 bill. See for yourself

Adults have 206 bones but babies have around 800 to start out with. Your bones actually merge as go grow older. That's why babies are so flexible.

Welcome Dobby, Yes Cynder, well done for getting your man decked out in style. My Valentino shoes look great and now I'm walking like I have too much change in one pocket because of blisters...

Wow, you mean girls aren't the only ones who get stuck with uncomfortable formal shoes? (Thanks, Vert, I didn't know that. ) Useless knowledge: If you make syrup out of black birch sap, it tastes like wintergreen.

I saw this on tv last night. We in the UK are following you guys and banning smoking, (bad for me, good for others I guess). But tou people never cease to amuse me, (not you personally). Smoking is banned in prisons in death row? ??
